In our last blog post, we shared some beautiful photos from Charles and Yi Shin’s wedding ceremony and reception in Janda Baik, in the midst of the lush, green, and untouched tropical rainforest that Malaysia is renowned for, and in very pleasant 20-something degree Celsius temperatures. Best of all, it is only about an hour from Kuala Lumpur.
Two days after their wedding ceremony, our couple threw another reception in the city, this time in a ballroom at the Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa, in Bandar Sunway. Many thanks once more to the talents at Jim Liaw Photography for the photos!

Our bride kept the blush and gold colour palette from the Janda Baik ceremony and reception, but with a decidedly different look for the elegant venue inside the ballroom.
In the reception area, the gorgeous centerpiece and table decor are reminiscent of the ambience created in Janda Baik.
While a refreshing green-and-white floral palette took centerstage in the table decorations at the Janda Baik reception, Charles and Yi Shin chose a more romantic and chic approach with the decorations in their ballroom dinner reception.

Adding a modern twist with sweet tulips laid over a simple arrangement of hydrangea and roses.
It’s textures and more textures galore! Without a doubt, the evening’s flowers were the crowning glory of each and every table in the ballroom. But they weren’t the only ones providing pretty textures. Using glasswares and stemwares to hold flowers, candles and shiny sequins, centerpiece arrangements for the guest tables became visual focus point throughout the evening.
Guest tables also get a romantic and chic treatment, with gorgeous textures bathed in golden candlelight.
Create visually interesting centerpieces using various materials, complementing objects, and heights.
